We were blessed with overall great weather for our Driving Tour, Lunch, and boat tour of Elkhorn Slough. Approximately 28 members attended, with approximately 20 Porsche’s.
Our Tour to Elkhorn Slough began at 10am at Chili’s restaurant in Seaside with our driver’s meeting at 10:15. We departed at 10:30, and had a beautiful drive north to Castroville and then to Elkhorn Road. After a few miles of beautiful turns and views, we stopped for a break at the Elkhorn Slough Reserve. During the stop many of us walked out to the lookout for a view of where we will be traveling later in the afternoon on the boat tour. Special thanks to our President Mark who developed and test drove the driving part of our Tour.
We departed the Reserve around 11am and drove more wonderful roads through North Monterey County. Eventually, we reached Pajaro, and continued for a drive through the area that had been devastated last year by the severe weather.
The Sea Harvest restaurant reserved a very special waterfront dining room for us to enjoy during our lunch.
After lunch we drove to Monterey Bay ECO Tours and enjoyed a very informative tour and Elkhorn Slough that was enjoyed by all, and many said they would repeat tour again.
