2023 Shamrock Tour Photos

The past week and a half have been difficult with heavy rains, strong winds and extended power outages across our area. Some were forced to evacuate; others suffered damages of varying degrees; and everyone saw their daily lives disrupted.

So it was with “the luck of the Irish” that we were able to hold our Shamrock Tour organized by Ted. It turned out to be a fabulous day – sunny with warm temperatures. We gathered at the Windmill Market in San Juan Bautista and were entertained by Steve on the bagpipes (see video below). Our spirited drive took us south on Highway 25 past Pinnacles. The hills were lush green and the wildflowers were blooming. A few of the cabrios put their tops down.

We arrived at our lunch destination, The Cork & Plough in King City, where Ted carefully arranged our Porsches around the plaza next to the restaurant. The food was good and the staff at The Cork & Plough were great. Awards were presented to Kristi and Steve. It was nice to have time to chat with fellow members. We even had a flag waving ceremony.

After lunch, we headed north on a back road to the Mission Nuestra SeƱora de la Soledad. Dessert was served. The club made a donation to the Mission. The weather appeared to be changing – so it was time to head home.

Thank you, Ted. It was a fantastic day. A wonderful break for the group.
