Monterey Bay Region joined with Loma Prieta Region for an Oktoberfest lunch in Santa Cruz on October 11.
MBR started their drive to Santa Cruz at Chile’s in Seaside, then drove up Highway 1 to Santa Cruz, where we got off and stopped at DeLaveaga Park for a short break. From there, we took curvy mountain roads through the redwoods, eventually ending up at Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz, where we cruised along the shoreline and past the lighthouse.
From there it was a short way to Beeline Motor Club, where both regions parked and prepared for a catered German luncheon of green salad, German potato salad, red cabbage, bratwurst or bockwurst, sauerkraut, fresh fruit salad, and apple pie for dessert.
After lunch, Nick and Eric of Beeline presented a talk on pre-purchase inspections, with a 5 page handout listing items that are checked during the inspection, and answered questions.
