2023 Shamrock Tour Mission Soledad by Vega Roecker

2026 Halloween Cars & Coffee

On Saturday, October 31 (Halloween), Monterey Bay Region set off on a tour to Bruce Canepa’s place in Scotts Valley. We left from Chile’s in Seaside and headed up the freeway to Santa Cruz, where we joined Highway 9 and headed north on that curvy road through the redwoods. We went through Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, past bicyclists and horseback riders, through the small town of Felton, then to Scotts Valley.

Once there, we enjoyed viewing the sales floor (filled with exotic vehicles), the museum (with even more exotic vehicles), and the shop (where exotic vehicles are taken apart and put back together again).

Bruce was out of town, so we didn’t get to hear his stories, but it was great anyway.

From there we headed up the street to the Scotts Valley Junction shopping center, which has several restaurants, including a taco place, a burger place and a Cambodian place all in the same building. After a substantial lunch, we all headed for home on our own.
