SUMMARY:2022 Elkhorn Slough Reserve
DESCRIPTION:On October 8th we are heading to Elkhorn Slough Reserve for a t
 our led by Mark Mc Mahon. We will meet at the Chili’s Restaurant Parking
  Lot\, 1349 Canyon Del Rey Blvd\, Seaside\, CA 93955 (where Cars and Coffe
 e meets) at 9:30 in the morning.\n\nSocial time and collect liability waiv
 er signatures until 10am\, when we will have a drivers' meeting to discuss
  the tour. We will depart about 10:30 and Mark will lead the group. We wil
 l drive north on Hwy 1 to Castroville where we will turn inland and enjoy 
 the winding roads through this community for about an hour ending up at th
 e Elkhorn Slough Reserve\, 1700 Elkhorn Rd\, Castroville\, CA 95012.\n\nOn
 e of the staff of the Reserve will give us a short presentation on Elkhorn
  Slough and tour of the Visitor Center and then we will have a picnic lunc
 h at our reserved spot (already arranged with the staff at the Reserve). A
 ttendees should bring a picnic lunch with items to share if desired.  Aft
 er lunch\, those who would like to go for a hike at this beautiful park ca
 n do so. I know a number of easy trails with great views. Those who prefer
  not to go hiking\, may stay and visit or return home.\n\nAfter the hike\,
  the rest of us will leave as the tour comes to an end. Mark will lead tho
 se who stay back on some more winding roads to Monterey area.\n\nTo regist
