The tour begins on the morning of Saturday May the 18th at the Chili’s Restaurant Parking Lot in Seaside.  The exact time will be provided later.

We will drive back roads to Paso Robles enjoying beautiful scenery and plenty of twists and turns along the way.  We will stop at a very friendly café on the outskirts of Lake Naciemento for lunch.  They offer a range of sandwiches and burgers grilled on the BBQ right outside the restaurant!  We may need attendees to place orders in advance, but I will send out a notice about this later.  After lunch, Nick will lead the Tour into the beautiful hills above Paso Robles until we come to Denner winery.  They will provide us with a special wine tasting so we will also need a tally of those who want to taste.  Even those who do not taste will appreciate the stunning views from this winery and it grounds.  We may even take a few minutes to photograph our cars at the site.  Next, we return to more of the same wonderful winding roads as we head to Lake Park in Atascadero where we can get out and stretch our legs at this lovely spot.  After some relaxing and a little exercise at the Lake, we will continue to San Luis Obispo and the Embassy Suites Hotel.  We will enjoy a break at the hotel until we rendezvous for dinner in San Luis.

The next morning, I have a surprise.  There are plenty of spots open for any who would like to join me in a tour of the famous Hearst Castle!  I will lead a group from SLO for about an hour along more scenic roads to San Simeon where we will visit William Randolph Hearst’s incredible mansion.  Those who want to visit Hearst Castle will have to make their reservations on the website as this is a state park now.  Fortunately, it is very easy.  The tours start between 9:00 and 9:30 am and take about one hour, so we will head back about 10:30am and rendezvous with those who don’t want to visit Hearst Castle at Epoch Estate Winery outside of Templeton.   After another tasting session learning about the rich wines that have made this area so successful, we will continue on to lunch in downtown Paso Robles.  Following lunch, we will have free time to explore the town or begin our drive North toward home.

I am really excited by  the way this Tour is coming together. I will secure the hotel rooms this week.  Those who register will need to contact the hotel directly after May 4th and tell them you are with the Monterey Porsche club to reserve your room.

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required and will be applied to the cost of meals.
