DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT UPDATE: CANCELLATION OF ELKHORN SLOUGH TOUR\n\nHello 
 Porsche Friends\,\n\nAs many of you may have heard\, a fire broke out at t
 he battery storage facility in Moss Landing this morning. It appears that 
 a number of roads have been closed\, a shelter in place order is in effect
 \, and a Fire/Police Command Post has been established at The Sea Harvest 
 Restaurant. The fire is expected to burn out over the next 24 hours and as
  of Noon today the Shelter In Place order is continuing until further noti
 ce.\n\nI have contacted Wendy\, who is the owner of Monterey Bay Eco Tours
 \, and I informed her that based on the current information\, unknown leng
 th of fire\, and potential health hazard in the area at the time of our TO
 UR\, she agreed to cancel our trip that will be rescheduled at a future da
 te. Over the last three years\, I have communicated with her a number of t
 imes and understand that hers is a local family owned business and she was
  understandably devastated by another fire and fear of it harming the Elkh
 orn Slough environment.\n\nMark and I are disappointed and have developed 
 a get together and lunch that is not a official PCA event\; rather\, an op
 portunity to socialize and meet independently for lunch.\n\nMark and I wil
 l be at the Starbucks at the Crossroads in Carmel at 10:30 AM tomorrow (Sa
 turday 091926) to enjoy each others cars and socialize.\nEach of us will t
 hen drive not in an organized manner to the Taphouse in Big Sur Restaurant

 nformation in the near future abut when the event will be rescheduled the 
 event\, or if a refund is requested.\n\nI appreciate your understanding.\n
 \nAl\n\n\n\nJoin us for our third year to Elkhorn Slough for a "Return to 
 Elkhorn Slough". The Tour provides amazing wildlife viewing aboard the El 
 Cat\, an innovative\, custom\, fully electric catamaran\, built in Moss La
 nding. As we glide slowly\, cleanly and quietly through the meandering cha
 nnels led by the experienced captain and crew\, we will be treated to a sp
 ectacle of vibrant wetlands and lush marshes teeming with an array of wild
 life. During the tour\, we will see otters\, sea lions\, harbor seals\, an
 d a diverse population of birds\, as the Elkhorn Slough is part of the Pac
 ific Flyway. Join us on a one-of-a-kind\, electric-powered catamaran ride 
 for a narrated wildlife tour along one of California’s largest tidal wat
 erways.\n\nThe 32 participants for our Tour to Elkhorn Slough will begin b
 y meeting promptly at 8:00 AM at Chili’s restaurant in Seaside on Saturd
 ay\, September 19th. We will have our driver’s meeting and signing of Wa
 ivers and depart at 8:30 am for an enjoyable drive.\n\nBecause we will nee
 d to be on the Boat by 10:00 AM we request that if you are going directly 
 to the boat\, you arrive no later than 9:45 AM. A Jacket\, sun screen\, an
 d camera are recommended. Food and beverages (including beer and wine) are
  also permitted to be brought on the boat.\n\nAfter the tour will proceed 
 North directly to the Sea Harvest Restaurant for Lunch at 12:00 PM.\n\nA c
 opy of the menu at Sea Harvest for your review will be sent to you prior t
 o the event. It will be very helpful if you decide what you plan to order 
 so that we will be able to complete the ordering of our lunch in a timely 
 manner facilitate ordering lunch. After placing your order\, you will pay 
 for your meal\, and be given a buzzer that will call you when it is ready.
