DESCRIPTION:The club is springing for the pizzas.  So\, come on out and en
 joy.    Drinks are on the attendees.  Please stop on the way in and get
  your drink of choice.\n\nWe have a special guest speaker!\n\nAlan Friedm
 an\nPCA Perfomance Driving Events -- High Performance Driver's Ed\, AutoX\
 , and Club Racing -- Amazing ways to enhance your experience of owning a P
 orsche!\n\nDiscussion and Q&amp\;A Session with Alan Friedman\n\nAlan was 
 the key person that started Porsche Club Racing.  This will be a great op
 portunity to learn some inside information about enhancing your experience
  with your Porsche.  We will start at 6PM.  Details will follow!\n\nSome
  info about Alan:\n\nAt last Fall's Rennsport VI\, and 2015's Rennsport V\
 , the PCA Club Race group was the "Sholar-Friedman Cup".  Bill Sholar was
  the gentlemen who started PCA\, and Alan Friedman\, who recently relocate
 d to Carmel Valley and transferred to Monterey Bay Region\, is the founde
 r of the PCA Club Racing program.\n\nAlan bought his first Porsche in 1975
 \, did his first PCA high performance Driver's Ed event that same year\, a
 nd the rest is history.  He became a Potomac Region driving instructor\, 
 Region president\, assistant Parade Chairman (1979)\, Chief Driving Instr
 uctor\, Driver's Ed program chairman\, Zone 2 Rep.\, and National Safety C
 ommittee Chairman.  He transitioned from Driver's Ed to vintage racing in
  1987 (with a 1967 ex-trans am 911). Starting in 1990 he designed and laun
 ched the PCA Club Racing program\, which soon became the largest single m
 arque road racing program in the world.  He was the first Chairman of of 
 the program from 1992-1997\, and a Chief Steward through 2007.  Today he 
 continues to race his 1973 RSR (clone) in vintage and PCA races\, and als
 o campaigns a 1972 Chevron B21 sports racer in vintage events\, including 
 the Rolex Historics.\n\nThe meeting with start with updates on activities 
 in the region and getting to know one another.  And\, of course\, eating 
 pizza.
