For the general meeting on July 7 we had a member as a guest speaker who is a retired NASA astronaut, Dan Bursch. Dan has been on four missions, three for 10-11 days and the fourth for 196 days in 2001-2002.
He brought a number of slides to show us what he looked like in a spacesuit, what the Earth looked like from the International Space Station, what the Shuttle looked like from space, and what the inside of the International Space Station looked like. He briefly described some aspects of life on the ISS and of going outside it on an EVA.
After his presentation he answered questions.
