The Montereyan was Monterey Bay Region’s newsletter, generally published monthly, though it was published every other month in 1984 and a few times in 1985 and other years. It was published until 1997. Don Tevini and Terry Terflinger were joint editors in 1984. Marilyn Sweet was the editor in 1985 and 1986; Chris Holm was the editor in 1987; Lauren Merrill was the editor in 1988; Fred Smith was the editor in 1989 and 1990; Mike Rogers was the editor from 1991-1997. When Mike retired from being editor, no one stepped up to take his place, so it stopped being published, with the exception of two issues in 2009 produced by Barbara Von Gehr.
