Zone 7

The Porsche Club of America is organized into 14 Zones and 149 local Regions across the United States and Canada.

We are part of Zone 7 which consists of ten regions across Northern California and Northern Nevada.

In addition to the Monterey Bay Region, the other Zone 7 regions are:

Zone 7 sponsors both an autocross and concours series.

Zone 7 Autocross Series

The zone autocross series consists of some 8-10 events each season, and is geared not only for the experienced driver but novices as well. It is a good way to get out in the zone and meet like-minded people in some of the Zone’s other regions. Zone autocross events are currently conducted by Golden Gate, Loma Prieta, Sacramento Valley, Sequoia, and Redwood regions.

Competitors compete by class and by PAX and are awarded trophies and bragging rights for year end awards. Cars are classed in various categories ranging from As-Delivered, Optioned, Prepared, and Unlimited classes following the Zone 7 Rules.

Zone 7 Concours Series

Every year, between 7 and 9 of the 10 Regions in Zone 7 host an annual Concours Event, which collectively represent the Zone Concours Series. All PCA Zone 7 Concours events are run under the same rules. PCA members who participate in over half of the events in the Zone 7 Series and who meet other criteria found in the rules are eligible for Series Awards, which are presented at the end of year Zone Awards Banquet.

Concours events in Zone 7 are conducted in a variety of venues throughout the Zone, including parks, wineries, enthusiast venues and sponsoring Porsche Dealers.  Entries vary from the casually clean Display Only examples to the extraordinarily prepared full concours cars.  All must be Porsche cars and if you attend you’ll see a wide variety of examples from the history of the marque.
