Our South Coast Overnight Tour will be on June 28-29. We now have finalized the details. After a driver’s meeting at Chili’s Restaurant in Seaside, we will take River Road to Mission San Antonio where we will enjoy a picnic lunch. Please bring food for yourself and something to share with others. After lunch, we will drive the exciting Nacimiento-Fergusson Road over the mountains to Highway 1 at the coast. Expect some fabulous views and scenic stops. Once on Hwy 1, we will drive south to the Coast Rider’s Inn in San Simeon, owned by one of our club members! He has arranged for very reasonable rates and more to make our visit enjoyable. That evening, we will walk to dinner in San Simeon at the San Simeon Bar and Grill.

On Sunday morning, attendees will have the option to visit Hearst Castle or to drive to Cambria. Those who do not visit Hearst Castle will enjoy a walk on Moonstone Beach. After that, we will explore Cambria and meet up for lunch at Linn’s Restaurant. After lunch, we will head inland to enjoy some of the beautiful wine country of the Paso Robles region. After driving on some great roads, we will stop at Eberle Winery where we will be welcomed with a Tour of the vineyard, wine cave and tasting. Eberle has offered us a special rate of only $25 per person for the tour and tasting, which for Paso Robles is a real bargain! Plan to bring a check or cash with you if you want to visit the winery after lunch. This will be the official end of the tour, but attendees can choose to visit other attractions in the Paso Robles area including the Estrella Warbirds Museum, only 10 minutes from Eberle Winery if desired.

There is still room on this Tour for a few more guests. If you want to join us, register on the website and secure your room at the Coast Riders Inn in San Simeon (805-924-6060). We will need to release the rooms at this hotel by the weekend, so please do not delay. Also, we welcome any members who want to join us for the drive to Mission San Antonio and lunch, even if you can’t spend the evening with the rest of the group. Al Munoz Flores will lead a group back to Monterey after lunch while the rest of us head over the mountains. It should be a weekend to remember!
