On March 6th, Monday, we will have our first General Membership Meeting in many years. This event will be held at the Elks Lodge in Monterey at 150 Mar Vista Drive, behind the AAA office and not far from the Del Monte Shopping Center. The meeting will begin at 7pm, with social time starting at 6:30. As the Elks Lodge is a bit tricky to find, I encourage you to come early while there is still some daylight remaining.
Since the purpose of these meetings is to get to know each other and for the membership to share ideas with the Board of Directors, we will spend some of our time during the meeting introducing ourselves. We will also discuss upcoming events, of course. I am pleased to report that we will have a guest speaker at the meeting, too.
Ed Hunter, President of PCA Golden Gate Region, will share with us his experiences with PCA and his particular passion for Autocross and Track Driving events. I expect we have members who are interested in high performance driving, and Ed will provide ideas on how you can take your car to the next level in conjunction with some local driving activities.
PCA Monterey Bay will only be your club if the officers hear from you about your priorities. So, please come to our Membership Meeting to share your ideas and get to know some of the other members.
